Neurodivergent & Specialized Therapy
Supporting every child’s unique brain, behavior, and brilliance.
At Blue Star Counseling, Kathryn celebrates the differences that make your child who they are. She offers neurodivergent therapy services designed to support children, teens, and young adults with ADHD, autism, sensory processing differences, learning challenges, and emotional regulation needs.
Her approach is relational, sensory-aware, and rooted in respect for neurodivergent identities. Whether your child is struggling with school, transitions, anxiety, or emotional outbursts, she works with you to create a therapy plan that honors their vulnerable nervous system and is tailored to how their brain works.
Neurodivergent Therapy Tailored to Your Child
Every neurodivergent child experiences the world in their own unique way—and our therapy reflects that. At Blue Star Counseling, Kathryn takes a strengths-based, relational approach to supporting children and teens with ADHD, autism, sensory processing differences, learning challenges, and emotional regulation needs.
Rather than expecting children to fit a traditional therapy mold, Kathryn adapts the sessions to meet their sensory, communication, and regulatory needs. That might include movement-based activities, non-directive play, co-regulation work with a caregiver, or quiet space for processing at their own pace.
Kathryn works to reduce overwhelm, build trust, and help your child feel seen—not fixed.
What Are Neurodivergent Therapy Services?

Relationship First
All children thrive when they feel safe, seen, and supported. Kathryn’s therapy work is never compliance-based or behavior-focused—she begins with connection. Many of her neurodivergent clients also benefit from attachment-based play therapy, which builds trust and co-regulation through structured play and caregiver involvement.
