Welcome to Blue Star Counseling! Our two therapists, Kathryn Zentner and Mark Zentner are here to help you with your individual and relationship concerns. We understand that facing the circumstances that brought you to our website may feel overwhelming and even a little scary.
Yet, paying attention to your inclination to seek help is vital to self-growth. Each one of us strives for health and balance in our lives. We know when something doesn't feel right. Kathryn and Mark are experienced therapists who have a variety of skills to guide a family or an individual to healing and wholeness. They both provide a safe haven for exploring problems and possibilities for growth and change. They founded Blue Star Counseling because of a mutual interest and passion for serving the needs of adults, children, and families.
Kathryn Zentner, LCSW
Kathryn is primarily a child and family therapist. Her specialty is working with children with a wide range of behavior concerns, including attachment challenges. Kathryn also provides individual therapy for parents who are struggling with how to parent a challenging child. Kathryn attended the University of Texas at Austin and earned her Master of Science in Social Work degree in 1993. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and has been working with children and families for over 20 years.
Mark Zentner, Ph.D.
Mark provides individual counseling for adults with a wide range of personal and mental health concerns. He most often works with clients who present with anxiety, depression, trauma histories, work and relational stress, grief and loss, and life transitions. He completed his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin in 1999 and has been licensed in the state of Texas as a psychologist since 2001.

DUE TO THE COVID PANDEMIC, WE ARE NOT SEEING OUR CLIENTS IN THE OFFICE. WE ARE SCHEDULING VIRTUAL SERVICES UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
Please schedule online services here. We use a HIPAA-compliant, confidential, online platform called Clocktree. Clients who wish to do online therapy will receive an “invite” from Clocktree and be prompted to enter client information and create a password.
Once an account has been created, Kathryn or Mark will call you for online sessions. Our licenses allow us to provide teletherapy sessions for anyone who resides within the state of Texas.
